Congolese food is virtually unknown in other parts of the world. The villager lives on a few basic daily staples. This episode explains the growing and preparation of the villager’s diet. Congolese food is an acquired taste. In addition, there are delicacies, that are fantastic and mystery foods as well that one enjoys from time to time. Dan Noren shares his knowledge of the kinds of food and descriptions, and preparation methodologies for this episode.

    Very good episode. Dan has a bit of Scandinavian/Minnesota accent. I like the method you used interspersing Dan’s commentary with your story.

    Djombo and fuku is definitely one of the best. Unfortunately fuku is only really eaten up in the Gemena arena.
